The UNDERWORLD project includes three partners: The Polytechnic University of Madrid (UPM), The University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ULPGC) and The Oceanic Platform of the Canary Islands (PLOCAN), each one leading a specific subproject. The project can be divided into 3 great areas:
- Measurements, monitoring, analysis and modelling.
- Studies and designs of different techniques.
- Definition of scenarios, experimental issues and testing.
The first and second areas are a group of activities to be carried out by both universities with the support of PLOCAN. The third one will be played by the three members, in this case with a very important involvement of PLOCAN in order to define the tests and carry out the measurements campaign. UPM will take care of Management and Coordination issues to guarantee that objectives are reachable and organize the common working activities, this is not be considered as part of the UPM subproject, although obviously it is the main responsibility as leaders of the whole project.
